Manchester Backyard Ultra brings the world's most addictive race format to Greater Manchester. Runners complete a 4.167-mile (6.7km) loop every hour, on the hour — each lap must be completed in under 60 minutes, with any leftover time used to rest and recover. Everyone starts together; complete your lap before the next hour to stay in the race. The event continues until only one runner remains. There's no minimum distance and no set finish line — runners stop when they can't start the next lap. Set at Giants Seat Scout Camp in Radcliffe, the course offers a scenic and varied loop through the Manchester countryside with approximately 68m of elevation per lap.
