A 50 km ultramarathon along a section of the South Downs Way, following ridgeway paths across chalk downland terrain. Elevation is accumulated through continuous undulation across open hills. Surfaces are typically firm trail and grass, with potential for slippery footing in wet conditions. The course is marked with aid stations positioned at intervals along the route.
