This 50K ultra starts in Falmer, East Sussex (just outside Brighton) and heads in an easterly direction, tracing a significant segment of the South Downs Way National Trail from Alfriston towards Eastbourne. The terrain is primarily composed of chalky paths, reflecting the geology of the South Downs, interspersed with farm tracks and open grassy sections along exposed ridgelines.
