A 58 km (36 mile) mountain ultramarathon in the Lake District forming part of the 13 Valleys event weekend, with approximately 2,303 m of ascent. The route links five Lakeland valleys using established mountain paths, high passes and rough upland terrain. Climbs are sustained with long descents between valleys, producing significant elevation gain for the distance. Surfaces include rocky trail, stone paths and uneven ground at higher elevations, with exposure possible on passes. The course is partially marked with checkpoints and aid stations positioned along the route.
