A 50 km (31 mile) ultramarathon in the Amber Valley area of Derbyshire with approximately 1,100 m of ascent. The route follows countryside trails, bridleways and rural paths across rolling terrain north of Derby, including woodland sections and open farmland. Elevation is gained through repeated climbs rather than sustained mountain ascents. Underfoot conditions vary between firm track, field paths and softer ground depending on weather.
