A 161 km (100 mile) circular ultramarathon following the canal network known as the Cheshire Ring, starting and finishing in the Greater Manchester area, with approximately 345 m of ascent. The route uses towpaths along the Bridgewater, Macclesfield, Peak Forest, Ashton and Trent & Mersey canals, forming a continuous loop on lowland terrain. Elevation gain is minimal, with surfaces primarily compact gravel path and paved sections. Navigation is straightforward along the canal corridor. Checkpoints and aid stations are positioned around the circuit in accordance with organiser logistics.
